Why wear one gargantuan bow when you could wear two? Ayo Edebiri pulled up to the Emmys red carpet on Monday night with a two-toned dress that took the red-carpet statement bow to new, head-turning heights.

At the front, the star’s custom Chanel frock appeared somewhat straightforward. It featured a V-neck cut with an A-line, tiered silhouette affixed with a slouchy oversized bow. Very darling. When she turned around, however, an entirely new dress emerged. At the back, Edebiri’s gown plunged into a similar V-cut and bow. But this time, the tie-up detail was even larger, and awash in a contrasting bright orange shade that trailed on the carpet behind her. She accessorized the playful proportions with bulging Mikimoto pearl rings and earrings, as well as silver pumps.

The actor—who is once again nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Sydney Adamu in The Bear—is known for taking risks on the red carpet, be it with unique color stories or playful silhouettes. Just this past weekend, she arrived on the TIFF red carpet in a texture-heavy Chanel gown that appeared intentionally slashed and frayed.

But this evening, her familiar blue-and-orange palette could very well be a nod to the Knicks’ upcoming season in October. During the NBA season this summer, when seemingly all of New York City was awash in blue and orange merch, Chanel held a viewing party for the team, which Edebiri attended. Whatever the reference may be, the actor has lots to celebrate at this year’s Emmy Awards. So why not opt for two larger-than-life bows?
