Cartier’s enigmatic muse behind the Panther evolution is the inimitable Jeanne Toussaint. Nicknamed “La Panthère” for her own style and strength, Toussaint became a close collaborator and inspiration of Louis Cartier’s in the 1910s before ultimately taking the reins as Creative Director in 1933.
